statues from pergamon
Some of the statues I found interesting in the Pergamon museum. Honestly, I would expect this museum to be comparable to Louvre or MET, but although interesting, it was much more limited.
I don't put the name of the artists here, they are from variety of classic artists and some of them have unknown artists, and just the location or the era in time is mentioned.
mother and her dead son
Mother and her dead son in Berlin, by Käthe Kollwitz. The statue is directly under an opening in the roof exposed to weather. I was lucky that in this time of the year, the snow on the shoulders of the mother gave the statue a much more powerful impression.
